As Mayor Nato keeps himself busy implementing various infrastructure projects around the municipality, he is always mindful of the needs of his constituents, especially our marginal farmers. Through the Fertilizer Subsidy Program of our municipal government, farmers can avail lower cost of fertilizer, as the local government shoulders 20% of the actual cost of fertilizer. As shown in these pictures, Mayor Nato with the Municipal Agriculture Office personnel and farmers taken during the distribution of subsidized fertilizers (1st Batch). According to Mr. Cornelio Atchuela, Municipal Agriculturist, there are more than 1,000 marginal farmer-beneficiaries of this program. These beneficiaries are very thankful to Mayor Nato and the Municipal Council for helping them ease the high cost of farming. Aside from subsidized fertilizers, these farmers can also avail the subsidized palay seeds and vegetables seeds. These and many more are some ways the Mayor and our town leaders show how important our farmers are!
