Taken during the launching of PGMA(Programang Gulayan para sa Masa) wherein free vegetable seeds were distributed to all public elementary and high schools in Villasis. Present during the launching were Mayor Nato, Coun. Jesus Limos, Chairman, Committee on Agriculture and Mr. Cornelio Atchuela, Municipal Agriculturist. Capulaan National High School won as the Best School Garden, high school catergory while Amamperez Elementary School won in the elementary category. Mayor Nato gave P5,000.00 each winning school.
To sustain said PGMA, the local government of Villasis distributed OPV(Open Pollinated Variety) seeds of vegetables to all schools. These were distributed free to enable the schools to produce their own seeds for future use. This agricultural program of the present adminstration aims to encourage the teachers and their pupils/students to participate in school gardening and backyard gardening.
