Summertime means season for youth and sports! Hon Kazel C. Celeste, SK Provincial Federation President with the assistance of Hon. Arthur F. Celeste, Congressman, District I, Pangasinan gave 10 basketball boards and 10 basketball rings to 10 barangays in Villasis: Poblacion Zone I, II, IV & V, Lipay, Barangobong, Capulaan, Lomboy, San Blas and Caramutan. This picture was taken after the flag ceremony this morning with Mayor Nato S. Abrenica, Vice Mayor Centenielo R. Costales and SB Members and some SK Chairmen of Villasis. The Mayor has reminded the SK Chairmen that starting next year, holding of sports tournaments in the barangays must be coordinated with the office of the Mayor and the SK Federation President. Hon. Kenneth Q. Sison. He prefers that sports tournaments will be held in the municipal level to be participated by the 21 barangays, because he has observed that barangays holding tournaments in their own barangays have been spending lots for these tournaments. Instead, they can allocate funds more on tangible projects.
