A total of 106 qualified solo parents received cash assistance under Republic Act No. 11861, or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act, during a distribution program held on July 24, 2026, at the Villasis Public Auditorium.
The assistance was funded by the Local Government Unit of Villasis, making the municipality one of only four municipalities in Pangasinan implementing the program.
The distribution was facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and attended by Mayor Dita Abrenica where she emphasized that the program is not only a form of financial assistance but also a manifestation of the local government's continuing commitment to support solo parents.
