The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted a five-day seminar on Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Training in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross- Pangasinan Chapter and initiated by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Martin James Kenneth Sison.

The Philppine Red Cross- Pangasinan Chapter aims to ensure health and safety of the populace through conducting different trainings like First Aid courses, Basic Life Support CPR/AED courses, swimming courses and Accident Prevention courses. And with the help of LGU Villasis these trainings were made possible.

During the five-day seminar, the Safety Services Volunteers from the PRC-Pangasinan Chapter lectured about the First Aid and Basic Life Support, Medical Emergencies, and Emergency Preparedness. They also had demonstration on Rescue Breathing, Bandaging technique and lifting and moving.

On the last day of the training, the skills of the participants were evaluated on basic life support and bandaging techniques and lifting/moving.

Training certificates, membership accident assistance benefits for one year, identification cards and training manuals were given to the participants upon completion of the five-day training.
