The local government unit of Villasis starts “Community-based Monitoring System” (CBMS) as they deploy 36 enumerators to 21 barangays to conduct the survey starting September 4, 2017. The CBMS is supervised by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordiantor, Mr. Roderick Mina and Mr. Marc Meriales as the designated CBMS Focal Person.
CBMS is an innovation of the CBMS Network under the Bureau of Local Government Development (BGLD).
With the use of the CBMS software and with the help of field enumerators, field editors and coordinators, the local government unit will be informed directly based on the data that’s gathered by the field enumerators- precise and non-manipulative results.
Last week, the Department of Interior and Local Government Provinvcial Office through their CBMS Provincial Focal Person, Ms. Editha Castillo conducted training for the field enumerators, editors and coordinator wherein she tackled the background, concept and methodology of CBMS.
The local government unit has invested much for the tablet-based survey.
