In connection with the celebration of Villasis Municipal Library cum Tech4ED Center 4th year anniversary, two remarkable activities were conducted on October 8, 2018. These are Quiz Bee and Digital Logo-Making Contest.
The QUIZ BEE was participated by Grade Six pupils from public and private schools of Villasis. The questions were lifted from the history of Villasis and information about Villasis Municipal Library cum Tech4ED center. The purpose of the activity is to bring awareness among Villasinians about the local history and promote the library as well. After three rounds (easy, average, difficult), Kristine Angeline Delelis of Villasis I Central School Sped Center emerged as the Champion while Sheryl Madriaga and Kenniel Barnachea won second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, the DIGITAL LOGO-MAKING CONTEST was opened to high school students. It was won by Chrysler Merca of Barangobong National High School. The criteria includes, concept/relevance, originality, creativity and impact. The judges were FVM Roderick E.R. Mina, Mr. Richie Sibaya, Mr. Nixson Sibayan, Mr. Dennis Raposas, and Mrs. Charissma Honrado. Majority of them placed high scores for Mr. Merca’s artwork.
Before the event started, Mayor Nonato Abrenica, delivered his short but very inspiring and heartwarming greetings and message. He congratulated the library staff for creating innovative services and activities. He also reiterated his support in all of the activities in the library. He provided cash prizes for the winners.
