In observance with the National Disaster Resilience Month, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) headed by the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, Martin James Kenneth Sison, conducted a tree-planting at Materials Recovery Facility at Brgy. Capulaan on July 13, 2018 at 7:30 AM.
The said activity was participated by the Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Department Heads, SK Federation of Villasis, PNP Personnel, BFP Officers, DRECMNHS teacherss headed by their Principal, Dr. Rowena Lea G. Moreno, DRECMNHS SSG Officers, District I School Heads headed by their District Supervisor, Dr. Jocelyn Mina, District II School Heads headed by their District Supervisor. Dr. Belen Bautist, DELTACOM Villa Base, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc., Municipal Solid Waste Action Team, Capulaan Sorter Association the Barangay Council of Capulaan headed by their Punong Barangay Amado Cenizan.
Tree-planting is just one of many activities promoting the rehabilitation of our forestry and protection of environment and ecosystem. Meanwhile, townspeople should expect for more activities promoting a disaster resilient community. Let us work hard hand in hand for a more disaster resilient Villasis, just like what Mayor Nato always say “Kayang-Kaya Kung Sama Sama"
