658 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program received their respective salaries on March 12, 2018 during the Cash Pay-out held at the Villasis Public Auditorium. Mayor Nato together with Mr. Arnel Arimas, PESO Manager and Ms. Mary Jane Hufano, DOLE-ROI Representative, distributed the salary to the benefiaciaries.
Each beneficiary received P2,800.00 for working for ten days at their respective barangays.
TUPAD is a program of DOLE in coordination with the Abono Partylist through Cong. Conrado M. Estrella, III and local government unit which aims to provide emergency employment for displaced workers and unemployed residents of Villasis.
Meanwhile, Villasinians should expect for more upcoming projects and programs of LGU in DOLE such as Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and Livelihood Assistance.
