The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has conferred LGUs that shown relentless campaign in suppressing illegal drugs proliferation in localities in the 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Award held at the Tent City, Manila Hotel last December 28.
The Municipality of Villasis, under the able leadership of Mayor Nonato S. Abrenica, together with the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), was awarded for its exemplary contribution in the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.
Villasis was one of the 241 outstanding local government units that received citation out of more than 1,000 LGUs nationwide.
The National ADAC Performance Award is given to LGUs that achieved an adjectival rating of Ideal (high functionality) based on the 2017 ADAC Performance Audit.
