The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) last June 29, 2017. The drill was held in Villasis Town Hall grounds and in simulated vehicular accident in a pre-selected area in Brgy. San Nicolas, Villasis, Pangasinan.
The activity is in line with the ongoing efforts of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to educate and enhance the level of alertness that would eventually develop into a higher level of preparedness before, during and after disaster. In the scenario, local rescue agencies responded to a Vehicular Accident after being notified by the Munical Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Team, spearheaded by LDRRMO Martin James Kenneth Q. Sison, the designated Incident Commander of the simulated exercise.
