The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) awards grants to 13 SLP Associations composed of 114 members from the Municipality of Villasis on November 19, 2025, at Villasis Public Auditorium.
Mayor Dita Abrenica, MSWDO Lilibeth Abrenica, and SWO III Haidee Suyat graced the ceremony and voiced their strong support for livelihood initiatives that aim to strengthen economic opportunities at the grassroots level and empower community members.
Representing DSWD were Billy Nicomedez and Grace Dela Cruz, who emphasized the importance of sustainable and community-based enterprise development in uplifting the socio-economic well-being of families.

The grant support is expected to help the 13 SLP Associations enhance their livelihood projects, promote self-sufficiency, and contribute to the continued growth of Villasis.
The Local Government of Villasis and DSWD reaffirm their commitment to empowering communities through sustainable livelihood and partnership-driven development.
