LGU Villasis launched its newly-implemented livelihood assistance program, “Angat Pangkabuhayan Project 2017”, on March 23, 2017 at the Villasis Public Auditorium. This is a program of Mayor Nato under the supervision of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Lilibeth Abrenica which aims to provide financial assistance to the small-scale business owners in Public Market and Bagsakan.

There are 250 beneficiaries who own local businesses in town; the beneficiary should secure a business permit issued by the Municipality of Villasis as a proof that they own a business in town. Each of them was given 5,000 pesos as their initial loan. To ensure the payment of the scheme, the Angat Pangkabuhayan Project will provide sufficient cash flow and the mode of payment would be daily collection. The business owner will pay 50 pesos every day until they finish paying the 5,000 pesos they loaned, and it is interest free.
