The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), in partnership with the Municipal Government of Villasis led by Mayor Dita Abrenica, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), distributed cash gifts to octogenarians, nonagenarians, and centenarians of the municipality as part of the implementation of Republic Act No. 11982, otherwise known as the Expanded Centenarian Act.
The program aims to recognize and honor the contributions of senior citizens who have reached the ages of 80, 90, and 100 years and above, acknowledging their lifelong dedication to their families and the community.
Through the expansion of the Centenarian Act, RA 11982 now provides financial incentives not only to centenarians but also to those who have reached their 80s and 90s, ensuring that more senior citizens are able to benefit from government support and recognition.
